John W. Gallagher Fire Station
The John W. Gallagher Fire Station, also known as Fire Station 10, is part of the Huntington Fire Department in Huntington, West Virginia. Located at 3131 Washington Boulevard, this station serves the southeastern neighborhoods of the city.
In August 2023, Gallagher Station received a significant upgrade with the delivery of a new 2023 Spartan pumper, designated as Engine 10. This $642,167 apparatus, acquired through Johnson’s Emergency Vehicle Solutions in Wellston, Ohio, features a 750-gallon water tank and a pump capable of discharging up to 1,500 gallons per minute. Its compact design, including a short wheelbase and tight turning radius, enhances maneuverability in residential areas. This marks the first new engine assigned to Gallagher Station since 1964 .
